Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Worldwide today announced that it has appointed Philip Vincent as its Chief Financial Officer.
Philip was appointed Acting CFO in June 2010. Previously Philip has served in a number of senior roles at Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Worldwide including Deputy CFO, Group FD Broadcast & Digital, CFO Global Channels and Head of Corporate Finance.
Philip joined the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú in 1998 as Financial Planning Manager for Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Worldwide and News and was previously Financial Controller at Bunzl Disposables Limited. Philip qualified at KPMG working both in London and New York.
Philip will lead the financial team at Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Worldwide and will be responsible for leading and developing all aspects of Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Worldwide's financial strategy. In 2009/10, Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Worldwide delivered a profit of £145m, up 36.5% from the previous year and returned a total of £171m to the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú through acquisitions and rights. Philip will be tasked with developing the business’ financial strategy against the company’s four strategic priorities of focusing growth outside of the UK, growing digital revenues, making more of our own content and developing more direct connections with consumers.

Philip Vincent’s appointment is effective immediately.
