麻豆官网首页入口 teaches Warwickshire pupils on road safety

School pupils across Warwickshire are to learn about the hazards of dangerous driving thanks to the 麻豆官网首页入口's gripping new Inside Out programme and Warwickshire Police.

The programme which highlighted the dangers of speeding impressed Warwickshire Police so much they asked producers for a copy of the first programme in the series.

Officers intend to show the video in secondary schools across Warwickshire as part of the ASTRA schools driver education strategy, in a bid to reduce road casualties and educate pupils on the importance of safe motoring.

The programme - broadcast on 麻豆官网首页入口 ONE West Midlands on Monday 9 September - shows motoring journalist Steve Berry uncover shocking evidence of motorcyclists travelling at speeds of up to 230 miles an hour - on public roads.

The exclusive footage also shows bikers performing life-threatening stunts on the roads of North Warwickshire.

More compelling, the programme hears from bike accident victim Darren Brown two days after his leg was amputated.

At the age of 32, Darren lost a leg and half a hand after he came off his bike between Atherstone and Nuneaton. Now he warns of the perils from dangerous riding.

PC Steve Postlewaite, Warwickshire Police, says: "Inside Out showed some excellent footage of poor road behaviour and what can and does happen if it all goes wrong.

"The programme will provide a very useful addition to our resources in the strategy."

Presented by Ben McCarthy, Inside Out is a fresh and challenging addition to the 麻豆官网首页入口's regional programming. The brand new series brings surprising stories from familiar places across the West Midlands.

Inside Out broadcasts every Monday on 麻豆官网首页入口 ONE (West Midlands) from 7.30 to 8.00pm.
