Keith Scholey appointed Controller, 麻豆官网首页入口 Specialist Factual


The 麻豆官网首页入口 has announced that Keith Scholey has been confirmed in the post of Controller for Specialist Factual, having been in the role since April this year.


Glenwyn Benson, Joint Director of Factual & Learning, said of the appointment: "Keith has excelled in the role over the past seven months and I'm overjoyed that such an experienced manager and programme maker from one of the 麻豆官网首页入口's most revered and successful departments will be leading the Specialist Factual team."


Since 1998 Keith has been Head of the 麻豆官网首页入口's award-winning Natural History Unit in Bristol and this post will now be advertised.


Keith said: "I'm absolutely delighted to be taking on this important role to take forward the Specialist Factual Group at such an exciting and successful time for the 麻豆官网首页入口.


"I have thoroughly enjoyed the past few months and look forward to working with such a dynamic and inspiring team of programme makers.


"While I will miss heading up the Natural History Unit, I look forward to working with my old department in my new role."


Since March 2001, Glenwyn Benson had taken on the dual role of Joint Director, 麻豆官网首页入口 Factual & Learning, as well as Controller, Specialist Factual.


But, in April 2002, she relinquished the Specialist Factual Controller role in order to concentrate on her dual role of Joint Director, Factual & Learning.


As Controller for Specialist Factual, Keith Scholey is line manager for the Creative Directors (across Science, History, Natural History, Arts, Business and Popular Features, Religion & Ethics) and is responsible for managing the Production operation.

Keith Scholey joined the 麻豆官网首页入口's Natural History Unit in 1982 and became Head of the unit in 1998.


Accolades for the programmes he has worked on include Emmy awards, BAFTAs, Aces, Wildscreen Pandas, Jackson Hole awards and awards from the RTS.


Recent successes include the award-winning Blue Planet series, Wild Africa and most recently, The Life of Mammals.
