Radio Five Live is gearing up to bring listeners extensive live
coverage of the new Formula One season.
The
Five Live F1 team will broadcast live from every single round of
the 2003 season, starting this weekend in Australia.

motor racing corespondent Jonathan Legard will provide the commentary
and will be joined by expert summariser Maurice Hamilton.
Pit
lane reporter Peter Slater will keep listeners up-to-date with news
from the team garages.
New
rules have meant a change to qualifying and these sessions will
be live on Five Live Sports Extra, giving fans the opportunity to
experience the whole race weekend live on the radio.
For
the first time listeners will have unprecedented access to the pit
lane to car communications taking place between teams and their
drivers during the race.
This
will enhance the whole listening experience, giving fans a greater
insight into the world of Formula One.
There
will be a weekly magazine programme, Five Live Formula One, every
Friday as part of Sport on Five.
The
programme, presented by Jonathan, will start at 9.30pm and will
feature all the latest news on and off the track, as well as interviews
with the sports main players.
