World Service and Econet Wireless launch 麻豆官网首页入口 News On Demand in Nigeria

World Service has announced that is has teamed up with Econet Wireless
to launch a news summary service called News On Demand.
It
is a unique service where subscribers can access both local and
international news on the hour, every hour, in all the network coverage
areas across the country.
The
service, which was also launched in Zimbabwe in 2000, comes at an
important time as the 麻豆官网首页入口 is bringing exceptional coverage of events
in Iraq.
Jerry
Timmins, Head of the 麻豆官网首页入口's Africa and Middle East Service said:
"Nigeria is a crucial market for us and we are constantly seeking
new ways to serve our audience better.
"Mobile
phones are becoming increasingly essential to many people as a way
of communicating and we are delighted to be joining Econet in this
partnership."

On Demand is Nigeria's first and only mobile phone-based audio news
service.

On Demand is also accessible from the fixed network by dialling
0802 168 and to callers outside Nigeria on +234 802 168.
