ABOUT THE 麻豆官网首页入口

麻豆官网首页入口 statement following publication of Financial Times interview today with Gavyn Davies, Chairman of the 麻豆官网首页入口

The 麻豆官网首页入口 said:

"The Chairman said nothing today about the Hutton inquiry which he had not already said to Lord Hutton at the Inquiry itself.

"Following the evidence which was given to the Inquiry by the Chairman and Director-General, the 麻豆官网首页入口 has already taken several steps to reform its procedures, and has appointed a new Deputy Director-General to take charge of editorial compliance and complaints.

"The Chairman made it clear in his interview with the Financial Times that further steps would be taken if they should become necessary after the publication of Lord Hutton's report.

"However, any significant reform of the system of 麻豆官网首页入口 governance was a matter for the Government, and this could only be considered as part of the Charter Review process.

"The Chairman said that the row between the 麻豆官网首页入口 and the No 10 Press Office last year was a temporary aberration which did not reflect normal behaviour.

"He said that the 麻豆官网首页入口 was making efforts to ensure that relations with the Government would return to normal as soon as possible after the publication of the Hutton Report."
