New
editor for 麻豆官网首页入口 Radio Leeds
 The
new Managing Editor of 麻豆官网首页入口 Radio Leeds has been appointed.
John
Ryan, previously responsible for marketing the 麻豆官网首页入口's regional
TV, local radio and Where I Live website services, will be taking
over the position from Monday 19 January.
Mr
Ryan said: "I am delighted to be returning to Yorkshire where
I began my career with the 麻豆官网首页入口. I am looking forward to working
with a fantastic team of broadcasters and making some great programmes
for the future."
Born
in Surrey, he began his career with the 麻豆官网首页入口 in 1987 as a programme
assistant at Radio York and quickly became presenter of Drivetime.
A year
later, he left to head further north to 麻豆官网首页入口 Radio Newcastle and
spent three years hosting the Breakfast programme before joining
the 麻豆官网首页入口's Radio Training Unit as an instructor.
He
spent a further five years with 麻豆官网首页入口 Radio Lancashire and 麻豆官网首页入口 Southern
Counties Radio before leaving to launch Canterbury's new commercial
radio station, 106 CTFM.
He
re-joined the 麻豆官网首页入口 in 1999 when he became Editor of 麻豆官网首页入口 Radio Northampton.
Colin
Philpott, head of the 麻豆官网首页入口 in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, said: "John
has extensive experience in radio, including the commercial sector.
That, together with his work in marketing, makes him ideally suited
to running a big city station like Radio Leeds."
