One Concert - Two Cities - 25,000 Free Tickets and a Worldwide Audience

Alanis Morissette, Bob Geldof, The Chieftains, Dolores O'Riordan and Divine Comedy plus Katie Melua, Kila and Moya Brennan will be amongst those bringing Belfast and Dublin to a standstill for Beautiful Night, an amazing free concert brought to you by the 麻豆官网首页入口 and Irish Broadcaster RT脡 on Saturday 1 May.

Plus Ash are creating a unique filmed contribution to Beautiful Night from a special performance in Belfast taking place earlier in the 麻豆官网首页入口 Music Live Festival.

More names will be announced over the coming weeks for this unique event which is a co-production between 麻豆官网首页入口 and RT脡 and will be staged from two different sites - Donegall Square in front of City Hall in Belfast and, subject to licence, O'Connell Street in Dublin - one concert, two huge stages over 100 miles apart.

There are at least 25,000 tickets available to join in the celebrations.

Every single ticket is free. And to ensure that everyone has a chance to take part in this amazing event, the tickets will be offered by public ballot.

You can register for two free tickets to your preferred city right away by telephoning 0901 293 2004 or by registering online at (different numbers and web addresses apply in the Republic of Ireland).

The ballot will close on Friday 12 March and tickets will be randomly allocated and supervised by the Electoral Reform Society.

The successful applicants will be notified by 14 April.

Calls cost 拢1, mobile call costs may vary, and proceeds beyond direct costs will go to 麻豆官网首页入口 Children in Need (and in the Republic of Ireland to The People in Need Trust).

For the UK, the Beautiful Night concert will mark the climax of the 麻豆官网首页入口's Music Live festival, an 11 day musical extravaganza taking place throughout Northern Ireland and bringing music in all its forms to towns, cities, concerts halls, pubs and stages from 23 April to 3 May.

In the Republic of Ireland, 1 May marks the accession of ten new countries into the European Union during Ireland's Presidency of the EU.

The state is hosting a Day of Welcomes to celebrate this occasion with the Beautiful Night concert as a spectacular finale.

For both the 麻豆官网首页入口 and RT脡, Beautiful Night is a landmark event and will reach audiences on a huge scale, broadcasting on television, radio and online throughout the UK, Republic of Ireland and to audiences throughout Europe and the rest of the world.

The unique broadcast link-up between the sites will be shown on giant screens at both event sites and at a number of other UK cities including Manchester and Birmingham.

As well as the concert linking up huge live crowds, it is expected that world class musicians will create live collaborations across the airwaves as the two sites create a single concert.

Lorna Dickinson, Executive Producer of Beautiful Night and the force behind Party at the Palace says: "The "Beautiful Night concert is a unique event in every sense of the word; with its dual stages it is a great technical and musical challenge for all involved.

"We are looking forward to an amazing night of music which will bring together huge communities for major celebrations, from around the UK, the Republic of Ireland and Europe.

"For the 麻豆官网首页入口, this promises to be a magnificent end to what will have been a fantastic Music Live festival."

The 麻豆官网首页入口 is grateful for the support of the Northern Ireland Events Company and Belfast City Council for their assistance in mounting the Belfast concert site.
