Michele Grant, currently Head of News Development for 麻豆官网首页入口 News, is to
take up a new position as Head of Global News Development. She will
be working to Richard Sambrook, Director of the Global News Division.
Her role will become the key link between 麻豆官网首页入口 News, 麻豆官网首页入口 Worldwide and
the Global News Division, designed to ensure that the 麻豆官网首页入口 develops successful
new editorial and commercial news partnerships and ventures around the
world.
She will remain based in Washington DC where she has been responsible
for managing and developing the 麻豆官网首页入口's key newsgathering partnerships
in the United States.
She will also act as the 麻豆官网首页入口's senior ambassador to the American news
community and to other external organisations.
Michele said: "Demand for the 麻豆官网首页入口's journalism is growing, and I want
to make sure that we meet that demand with news services of the highest
quality and in the variety of formats that people need.
"The goal is: 'If it just happened, you can hear about it from
the 麻豆官网首页入口 wherever you are, whenever it's convenient'."
Prior to working in America, Michele was Controller of 麻豆官网首页入口 News Publicity.
Richard Sambrook said: "This is an important role designed to ensure
we can make effective progress in developing new commercial services,
particularly mobile, wireless and broadband, with all three divisions
fully co-ordinated.
"Michele has an excellent track record and will bring fresh energy
and focus to the development of new services."
