麻豆官网首页入口 Scotland secures rights to transmit Edinburgh 50,000 The Final Push Concert

麻豆官网首页入口 Scotland has won the UK rights to transmit coverage of the Edinburgh 50,000 The Final Push concert from Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium on Wednesday 6 July.

Coverage of the show, which takes place on the first day of the G8 summit in Gleneagles, will be on television, radio and online.

News of the agreement follows the announcement that the 麻豆官网首页入口 will be the host broadcaster for the Live 8 event four days earlier at Hyde Park.

Among the performers who have signed up for the Edinburgh concert are Texas, Travis, Annie Lennox, Snow Patrol, Ronan Keating, McFly, the Sugababes and Midge Ure.

Comedians Lenny Henry and Peter Kay will host the free concert which will be attended by up to 60,000 people.

Maggie Cunningham, Joint Head of Programmes and Services at 麻豆官网首页入口 Scotland, says: "We are delighted that we will be bringing the best of Edinburgh 50,000 The Final Push to our audiences on television, radio and online.

"The day will live long in the memories of those who are lucky enough to get tickets for the big event.

"Our extensive coverage will ensure that millions more will be able to enjoy all the performances."

Scottish Radio Holdings have secured the rights for commercial radio coverage.

On 2 July, there will be coverage across 麻豆官网首页入口 ONE, TWO and THREE as well as 麻豆官网首页入口 Radios 1 and 2 and the 麻豆官网首页入口 World Service from Hyde Park.

The 麻豆官网首页入口 will work alongside other broadcasters in Europe and America to bring the huge international event to the world.

Concerts will take place simultaneously in London, Paris, Berlin, Rome and Philadelphia.
