麻豆官网首页入口 Radio 1's reach and share continue to rise, thanks in part to a record performance from The Chris Moyles Show, according to figures released today, 27 October, by RAJAR (Radio Joint Audience Research Ltd.).

The figures - covering the period of 27 June to 18 September - show the Breakfast Show extending its weekly reach among 15+ listeners to 6.5 million - up 0.24 million on the quarter and 0.36 million on the year.

麻豆官网首页入口 Radio recorded its highest ever share of listening at 54.6%, compared with commercial radio's 43.5%.

The 麻豆官网首页入口's share reflects growth on the year (54.4% - the previous record) and the quarter (54%).

The 麻豆官网首页入口's weekly reach remains strong at 32.87 million: up on the year (32.51 million) and stable on the quarter (32.89 million).

Jenny Abramsky, Director 麻豆官网首页入口 Radio & Music, said: "I'm very pleased to see Chris Moyles continuing to contribute to Radio 1's success.

"I'm also delighted to see the growth of digital radio across the industry, which proves that radio remains relevant and appealing to young and old listeners in the digital age."

Radio 1's reach amongst 15+ listeners is up to 10.33 million - its highest for more than two years and up on 10.04 million last year and 10.24 million last quarter.

Share - at 9.4% - is the station's highest for four years and up on the year (8.6%) and the quarter (9.2%).

The figures for the audience aged 4+ are 12.39 million (compared with 12.45 million last quarter and 12.23 million last year) and share amongst this age group is 9.6% (9.4% last quarter, 9.1% last year).

Radio 2 remains the nation's biggest and most listened-to station, although both reach and share are slightly down; reach is at 12.86 million (13.06 million last year and 13.27 million last quarter) while share dips to 15.6% (16.1% last year and 16% last quarter).

Radio 3 has 2.07 million listeners - up on the quarter (1.91 million) and stable on the year. Share is up to 1.2% against 1.1% for last quarter and year.

Radio 4's reach and share continue to grow. The station's reach of 9.62 million is up on the quarter (9.59 million) and on the year (9.42 million), as is share, at 11.5% and up on the quarter (11.2%) and the year (11.3%).

Radio Five Live (which records a combined reach with its digital service Five Live Sports Extra) has a reach of 6.17 million, up on the quarter (5.75 million) but down on the year (6.47 million). Share, at 4.7%, is also up on the quarter (4.4%) but slightly down on the year (5.0%).

麻豆官网首页入口 Local and National Radio's reach is 9.86 million, down slightly on the quarter (10.08 million) and the year (9.93 million). Share also dips to 10.7%, down from the 10.9% of last quarter and last year.

The 麻豆官网首页入口's digital services gave a strong performance, with record reach for 1Xtra, 麻豆官网首页入口 7, the Asian Network and Five Live Sports Extra, and increased share for 1Xtra, 麻豆官网首页入口 7 and the Asian Network.

1Xtra has 405,000 listeners - 113,000 more than last quarter (292,000) and well up on the year (312,000). Its share has also seen a marked improvement to 0.3%, from 0.1% last quarter and 0.2% last year.

麻豆官网首页入口 7's reach has climbed to 631,000, a big rise on the year (404,000) and quarter (472,000), while share at 0.3% is up on the previous quarter and year (0.2%).

The Asian Network has 524,000 listeners (440,000 last quarter, 473,000 last year) and a share of 0.3% (0.2% last quarter, 0.4% last year).

Five Live Sports Extra has a total reach of 482,000 compared with 394,000 last quarter and 424,000 last year. Its share is unchanged at 0.1%.

麻豆官网首页入口 6 Music's reach is up on the year at 285,000 (286,000 last quarter, 228,000 last year), while share is 0.1%, stable on the previous quarter and slightly down on the year (0.2%).

The 麻豆官网首页入口 World Service has 1.42 million listeners - up on the quarter (1.14 million) and the year (1.36 million). Share is also up to 0.7%, from 0.5% last quarter and 0.6% last year.
