Helen Boaden, Director of 麻豆官网首页入口 News, today issued a statement about Radio 4 news presenter Nick Clarke.

The statement reads: "We have learned that Nick Clarke, presenter of The World At One on Radio 4, has been diagnosed with cancer.
听
"We're very sorry indeed to hear this news and send him and his family our very best wishes for a swift and successful recovery.
听
"Nick will be undergoing surgery which will involve the loss of a leg, but the prognosis is good and Nick plans to be back on The World at One in the summer.
听
"In the meantime the programme will be presented by Shaun Ley.
听
"We would ask everyone now to respect Nick's privacy - and that of his family - and to direct any further inquiries to the 麻豆官网首页入口."
