The 麻豆官网首页入口 has opened its natural history archives to allow the public access to some of the most ground breaking and incredible footage ever recorded through the launch of the Open Earth Archive, part of the Creative Archive initiative on bbc.co.uk.
听
Unbroadcast rushes from the highly-anticipated new series Planet Earth (麻豆官网首页入口 ONE, Sunday 5 March, 9.00pm), footage from ground-breaking series such as The Natural World and extracts from series narrated by David Attenborough sit alongside remarkable images and audio clips on bbc.co.uk/openeartharchive.
听
To highlight the creative potential of the Open Earth Archive the 麻豆官网首页入口 is also running a competition to make a short 'advert' for Planet Earth.
听
Novice editors can enter the competition through the Easy Edit Suite, an exclusive application available free on the Open Earth Archive site allowing users to create a short video with a sound track using some of the best bits of the archive.
听
The competition closes on 30 April and winners will spend time in an edit suite with experts seeing how the professionals edit for 麻豆官网首页入口 Television.
听
The Open Earth Archive is made freely available for the UK public to use under the terms of the Creative Archive Licence.
听
The Creative Archive Licence allows people within the UK to watch, download and edit material released for non-commercial purposes, using it to inspire and create their own creative endeavours.

The Creative Archive Licence Group was launched on 13 April 2005.
听
The Creative Archive Licence is managed by the 麻豆官网首页入口, the bfi, Channel 4 and the Open University and other members of the Creative Archive Licence Group to make their content (moving images, audio and stills) available for download under the terms of a single, shared user licence scheme.
听
The material is made freely available for those based within the UK for their own not-for-profit personal and/or not-for-profit educational use, and non-endorsement purposes.
听

The 麻豆官网首页入口 is currently piloting the release of content under the terms of the Creative Archive Licence, after which its Board of Governors will assess the service.

The integrated media production company Illumina Digital has developed eSEQ, an online video editing tool that allows users to sequence and clip together video sequence using film from the 麻豆官网首页入口's Creative Archive.
听
The widget allows users to add a soundtrack and a fridge magnet-style message to their unique video postcard which can then be emailed to friends. 听
Planet Earth will broadcast on Sunday 5 March at 9.00pm on 麻豆官网首页入口 ONE and then repeat on Saturday 12 March on 麻豆官网首页入口 TWO at 7.00pm.
