Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú appoints Chief Operating Officer of Journalism Group

Dominic Coles has been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú's Journalism Group.

Coles, previously Director of Sports Rights and Finance at the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú, assumes overall responsibility for the financial and business operations of Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú News, Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Sport, Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Global News and Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Nations & Regions – the divisions which make up the corporation's Journalism Group.

He retains full responsibility for negotiating sports rights, as well as remaining Finance Director for Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Sport. He will sit on the Journalism Board and the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú's Finance Board.

On Coles' appointment, Deputy Director-General Mark Byford, who leads the Journalism Group, says:

Coles took up the position of Chief Operating Officer, Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Journalism Group on 1 January 2007. He reports directly to the Deputy Director-General Mark Byford.
