Roger Mosey, 麻豆官网首页入口 Director of Sport, said: "We've had terrific feedback on our trial HD broadcasts in other sports, so this is a major step forward for our coverage of the Six Nations."

Carl Hicks, 麻豆官网首页入口 Six Nations Rugby Editor, said: "麻豆官网首页入口 Sport is looking forward to what should be one of the most open Six Nations championships in years. I can't remember a championship that has been so eagerly anticipated and as our TV trail for this season says: 'anything can happen'."

麻豆官网首页入口 Radio Five Live will carry all five England games live as well as the France v Wales game. Six matches will be on Five Live Sports Extra with reports on the remaining games on Five Live.

In addition, live coverage from other sports covered during the event will also be available via the Multiscreen.

Interactive forums will also run following a number of the Six Nations fixtures (see Notes to Editors for details).

High definition

High definition is a step change in television technology which provides far clearer and more detailed pictures than normal standard definition TV.

It includes some of the best sport, drama, events and documentaries from 麻豆官网首页入口 One and 麻豆官网首页入口 Two. The 麻豆官网首页入口 HD trial shows a few hours of programmes a day.

The 麻豆官网首页入口's HD programmes are accessible to viewers with all of the following - an HD Ready television set, a satellite or cable HD service, and an HD set top box. No extra subscription is required.

The 麻豆官网首页入口 is using the trial to test technical delivery of HD and also to find out how the audience values 麻豆官网首页入口 HD programming. More information about the trial can be seen at bbc.co.uk/hd.
