麻豆官网首页入口 Sport to feature Hawk-eye in its World Snooker Championship coverage



麻豆官网首页入口 Sport will feature Hawk-eye technology for the first time in its coverage of The World Snooker Championship starting Saturday 21 April 2007 on 麻豆官网首页入口 One.

Hawk-eye technology will provide viewers with a unique perspective of the action on the tables. It will be used to re-create shots that have happened and predict ones which could.

Hawk-eye will also provide a virtual view, enabling viewers to see the table from the same viewpoint as the players.

Coverage from The Crucible in Sheffield will be presented by Hazel Irvine and Ray Stubbs.

They will be joined by analysts Steve Davis and John Parrott. Both former winners of the tournament, Davis and Parrot are also competing this year and have been pitted against each other in the first round.

Expert commentary will be delivered by Dennis Taylor, Clive Everton, Willie Thorne and John Virgo.

In total, 130 hours of exclusive television coverage will be broadcast throughout the 17-day championship.

Digital television viewers will also be able to watch live, uninterrupted snooker from both tables throughout the whole tournament.

Complementing the coverage on 麻豆官网首页入口 One and 麻豆官网首页入口 Two, 麻豆官网首页入口i will cover every single match, until the end of play, in each session, and will include an up-to-date news and statistics service.

The 麻豆官网首页入口 Sport website, bbc.co.uk/sport, and 麻豆官网首页入口 Ceefax will carry all the latest scores and reports from The Crucible.

The website will show uninterrupted live coverage and users will be able to air their views on the snooker message boards.

There will also be exclusive interviews from Sheffield, with the top names in the sport, as well as a look back at some lighter moments from what promises to be an eventful fortnight.

Radio listeners will be able to tune into 麻豆官网首页入口 Radio Five Live for regular updates and reports of all the action from The Crucible.

Coverage will primarily be on 麻豆官网首页入口 Two. However, on Saturdays it will commence on 麻豆官网首页入口 One.

To access 麻豆官网首页入口i during snooker coverage on 麻豆官网首页入口 One and 麻豆官网首页入口 Two, digital viewers will be prompted to be press the RED button.

Outside of 麻豆官网首页入口 One and 麻豆官网首页入口 Two coverage, viewers will need to press RED or TEXT, and then select SNOOKER INTERACTIVE from the menu.

Freeview viewers may not be able to access the full interactive service at certain times.
