Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú East Sports Awards celebrated the finest in sporting achievement over the past year and was attended by both professional and amateur sportsmen and women from across the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú East region.

The ceremony celebrated 10 different categories and was held at the American Air Museum, Duxford on Monday evening (12 November).

The final award of the evening was the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú East Sports Personality of the Year. The award went to Lewis Hamilton.

The Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú East Unsung Hero was awarded to Paul Webb. Paul will now go forward in the star-studded Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Sports Personality Of The Year programme, where an overall winner will be named.

The award ceremony was broadcast live on Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Local Radio in the Region presented by Paul Stainton of Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Three Counties Radio.

Highlights of the event hosted by Stewart White will be shown on Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Look East.
