The 麻豆官网首页入口 management today issued a press statement following publication of the 麻豆官网首页入口 Trust finding and conclusion on a fair trading and editorial appeal on 麻豆官网首页入口 Sports Personality Of The Year 2007.

The statement reads:

"The 麻豆官网首页入口 Executive will act on the findings of the 麻豆官网首页入口 Trust in relation to Sports Personality Of The Year.
听
"The 麻豆官网首页入口 Executive will submit revised editorial guidelines to the Trust in October and will write to ITV and the Radio Centre as directed by the Trust.
听
"The sponsorship website, which was suspended in March, will not be re-instated.
听
"The complaints made by ITV and the Radio Centre prompted the management to consider the appropriateness of commercial sponsorship of 麻豆官网首页入口 on-air events in relation to changing market conditions.
听
"In the context of today's findings, the management of the 麻豆官网首页入口 has reviewed its sponsorship policy and has concluded that it should no longer accept sponsorship from commercial bodies for any on-air 麻豆官网首页入口 event.
听
"This conclusion will be reflected in our revised guidelines which will be put to the 麻豆官网首页入口 Trust in October for approval.
听
"Existing arrangements will be honoured within the new guidelines, but they will not be renewed."

The new policy applies to licence-fee funded services and the 麻豆官网首页入口 World Service.
听
The total income which the 麻豆官网首页入口 will forego by ending commercial sponsorship of on-air events is likely to be around 拢1.5m per annum.
听
The principal events which will be affected are Sports Personality of the Year (Robinsons), Proms In The Park (National Savings & Investments), Radio 3 New Generation Artists Scheme (Aviva) and 麻豆官网首页入口 Four World Cinema Award.
听
As stated above, current sponsorship contracts relating to these events will be honoured within the guidelines, but they will not be renewed.
听
This new policy does not affect the broadcast of non-麻豆官网首页入口 (third party) events such as the BAFTA Television Awards or MOBO Awards (music awards) which are not staged by the 麻豆官网首页入口 but which the 麻豆官网首页入口 has obtained the right to cover.
