The Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú has appointed Nicky Douglas as Director, Marketing, Communications & Audiences for Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Vision. Reporting into Sharon Baylay, Director, MC&A, Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú she will take up the post in October 2009.
In her new role Nicky Douglas will help to shape the strategic brand direction for all Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú television channels and genres (excluding Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú News) in line with the overall strategy for Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Marketing, Communications & Audiences.
Additionally, as a member of the MC&A Board she will play a role in the strategic leadership and development of the division.
"Nicky’s wealth of experience of some of the world’s foremost entertainment brands will help to bring a different perspective to Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú MC&A," commented Sharon Baylay.
"Her proven track record in successful channel and content campaigns will help us meet the constant challenge of engaging with our audiences on every platform."
Nicky Douglas will also sit on the board of Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Vision and work in close collaboration with Jana Bennett, Director of Vision, and her management team.

Nicky Douglas has most recently been consulting for Turner Broadcasting and ESPN in Europe having been Senior Vice President & Managing Director, Walt Disney Television, Asia Pacific. Based in Hong Kong she was responsible for launching television channels and branded content – including High School Musical – across India, China, South East Asia and Australia.
Previously she was Managing Director, Nickelodeon UK (2000-2004) and Vice President, Marketing for Turner Entertainment Networks (1994-2000) where she supported the launch of Cartoon Network and TNT/TCM across Europe.
