The Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú today announces the commission of a pilot with female comedy duo Lorna Watson and Ingrid Oliver for Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Two.

The show will be shot in early 2010 in front of a live studio audience with a mix of 'live' and pre-recorded sketches and feature a host of up-and-coming and well-known comedy talent.

Best friends since school, Watson & Oliver are well-known on the live comedy circuit.

They have had three consecutive sell-out Edinburgh Festivals and appeared in a wealth of comedy greats such as BAFTA-winning Peep Show, The IT Crowd and We Are Klang.

They have also starred and written for The Wrong Door, The Wall and Watson And Oliver's Funny Cuts.

Other writing credits include The Peter Serafinowicz Show, School Of Comedy and Tonightly.

Mark Freeland, Head of Comedy, said: "It's brilliant that Watson & Oliver have the chance to show how talented and funny they are, and I'm proud that they are going to be doing this with us, in-house."

The pilot has been commissioned by Cheryl Taylor, Controller of Comedy.

It will be produced by Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Productions in association with Popper Pictures.

The pilot will be produced by Robert Popper (Look Around You, Peep Show) and the team behind the current hit comedy series Miranda, including executive producer Jo Sargent (Absolutely Fabulous, French & Saunders).
