Wanted by 麻豆官网首页入口 Shropshire: the county鈥檚 best and worst areas

麻豆官网首页入口 Shropshire has launched an online photo campaign to discover the best and the worst areas of Shropshire and Telford, particularly the areas that listeners think need improving.

The photos will be presented to Shropshire Council's new chief executive Kym Riley and Telford & Wrekin Council's new chief executive Victor Brownlees. Both council bosses are keen to find out what listeners think about their local area and hear suggestions for ways they could be improved.

Listeners are encouraged to get snapping and upload their photos on to the 麻豆官网首页入口 Shropshire Flickr group; Flickr: My Shropshire. Tracey Higgins, the project manager, says: 鈥淲e are not looking for general landscapes, but views that tell a story. We would like people to be as specific as possible. We particularly want to hear about areas that listeners think would benefit from improvement.鈥

She adds: 鈥 It might be a community centre of which you are really proud, or an eyesore that hasn鈥檛 been dealt with for months, or even years. And what about graffiti? Is it art or vandalism? We鈥檇 love to see examples and hear why people have submitted a certain photo.鈥

麻豆官网首页入口 Shropshire intends to take Shropshire鈥檚 new chief executives to a handful of the areas identified by the photos and listeners will be able to tune in to hear their reactions. If would-be photographers would rather not use the Flickr website, they can email the images to radio.shropshire@bbc.co.uk, making sure they include contact details. Alternatively people can call in during office hours and 麻豆官网首页入口 Shropshire will download pictures for them. Another option is to post print photos to: 麻豆官网首页入口 Shropshire 2-4 Boscobel Drive Shrewsbury SY1 3TT.

Notes to Editors

Those posting images are requested to enure that they are not sending the only copy, Radio Shropshire cannot guarantee to return them - although it will endeavour to do so. See the terms & conditions discussion on Flickr for more information about submitting photos.
