Awards for Test Match Special ahead of ball-by-ball coverage of England's Tour of Bangladesh

Test Match Special: Jonathan Agnew

Test Match Special received two awards this week ahead of its ball-by-ball coverage of England's tour of Bangladesh on Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Radio 5 Live Sports Extra and Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Radio 4 Long Wave.

The programme received the Radio Programme award from the Sports Journalists' Association and TMS presenter Jonathan Agnew received the plaudits in the Radio Broadcaster section.

The commentary team for the first Test starting tomorrow (12 March) from Chittagong will include Simon Mann, Simon Hughes and Bangladesh broadcaster Shamim Chowdhury.

The expert summarisers for the tour will be former England all-rounder Dominic Cork, Mark Butcher – who was part of the last England team to tour Bangladesh – and former Bangladesh batsman Athar Ali Khan.

There will also be regular news and updates throughout the tour on Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Radio 5 Live.

Following the tour of Bangladesh, England travel to the West Indies to compete in the ICC World Twenty20 which starts on 30 April.

Then they return to the UK for a demanding summer of matches including games against Bangladesh, Australia and Pakistan.

Test Match Special will have ball-by-ball commentary on all the summer fixtures including the neutral international games between Pakistan and Australia where the commentary team will include Jonathan Agnew and England's most successful captain of all time, Michael Vaughan.
