Robinson, a new programme profiling First Minister Peter Robinson MLA, is the latest in a series of Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Northern Ireland documentaries for Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú One NI that describes the careers of key political figures in Northern Ireland. Other programmes in the series include profiles of Gerry Fitt, David Trimble, Martin McGuinness, Ian Paisley and Gerry Adams.

The documentary takes a chronological approach to some of the main events in Peter Robinson's political career including the recent controversy focusing on his wife, the former Strangford MP, Iris Robinson.

The one-hour programme is intended to give local audiences a multi-dimensional view of the subject through a wide range of relevant views and opinions from local and international contributors in political and public life who have had direct dealings with Robinson since the Seventies.

As well as Peter Robinson's own reflections on past and recent events; there are contributions from party colleagues Arlene Foster, Sammy Wilson, Nigel Dodds, Gregory Campbell and Jeffrey Donaldson. Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness, Former Secretary of State, Peter Hain MP, Declan Kelly, the US Economic Envoy to NI, Cedric Wilson former DUP colleague, Deric Henderson, journalist and Bob McCartney QC also offer their perspective of Peter Robinson's political career.

With exclusive access to Peter Robinson in one of the defining years of his political career – this documentary reveals as much about the private man as it does about his role as one of Unionism's key political strategists.
