Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Radio 5 Live will deliver continuous coverage as millions of voters across the United Kingdom cast their votes on Thursday 5 May in the national and local elections and on the Alternative Vote (AV) referendum.

Radio 5 Live's reporters throughout the UK will provide all the latest news from the length and breadth of the country as the votes are counted, followed by in-depth analysis and reaction as the results unfold.

The Sony award-winning station's comprehensive election coverage starts at 10.30pm on 5 May during Tony Livesey's programme, followed by an all-night election special, which will be simulcast on 5 Live and Radio 4 and hosted by Aasmah Mir in London and James Naughtie in Glasgow.

From 12.30am through to 5.20am, Aasmah and James will keep listeners up to date with the latest results for the Scottish Parliament, the Welsh Assembly and the English local council elections, plus look ahead to the results from the Stormont Assembly in Northern Ireland and the AV referendum.

Coverage will continue on 5 Live Breakfast from 6am on Friday 6 May with Nicky Campbell presenting from London and Rachel Burden in Edinburgh. Then throughout the day 5 Live's reporters across the country will deliver updates as the results continue to unfold.

From 12noon, as results resume, Shelagh Fogarty will present live from Westminster. Then in a change to the usual Friday schedule Richard Bacon will present Vote 2011 from 2-4pm with further analysis of the results so far and a look ahead to the announcement of the AV referendum.

From 4pm Peter Allen will be live at College Green in Westminster for 5 Live Drive anticipating the result of the AV referendum.

Throughout the election coverage, 5 Live's Chief Political Correspondent John Pienaar will be following the results and analysing how they will affect the country. Plus Chris Mason will be live at the Excel Centre in London where the AV results will be announced.
