Airline drama Pan Am comes to Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Two

Based around the iconic international airline, Pan Am will fly Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Two viewers back to 1963 and the dawn of a glamorous new era of luxury air travel.

The series follows the lives of a group of Pan Am pilots and air hostesses as they take to the skies, crossing the globe in a jet-powered, seductive age, shaped by romance, shifting social values and international espionage.

Created by Jack Orman (ER) and directed by Thomas Schlamme (The West Wing), the series stars Christina Ricci, Mike Vogel, Kelli Garner, Margot Robbie, Karine Vanasse, and Michael Mosley.

Janice Hadlow, Controller Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Two, says: "Pan Am captures the excitement and optimism of travel in the 1960s, when being an air hostess was the most glamorous occupation you could possibly have. Sue Deeks, Head of Programme Acquisition, who secured the rights from Sony Pictures Television (SPT) adds: "Pan Am is a breath of fresh air - a fun, colourful and stylish drama set in a captivating era that changed the world."

Stuart Baxter, Senior Executive Vice President European Distribution, SPT, says: "Pan Am is taking off around the globe and we're thrilled that the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú will become its UK home. The Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú crowns a growing list of broadcasters who are the international destinations for this iconic, glamorous series."

Pan Am is executive produced by Jack Orman, Thomas Schlamme and Nancy Ganis. It will be produced by Jack Orman Productions, Out of the Blue Entertainment and Show Money Productions, in association with Sony Pictures Television (SPT), which is distributing the series globally.
