How the People鈥檚 Strictly Works

From Wednesday 25th February at 9pm on 麻豆官网首页入口 One, The People’s Strictly will follow six people as they take part in their very own Strictly experience, presented by Tess Daley and Claudia Winkleman. The contestants were chosen from thousands of nominees, selected for their selfless acts of charity; all playing a part in changing others’ lives for the better.

Over four episodes, our six contestants will be partnered up with their very own Strictly Come Dancing professional dance partner, before learning a Ballroom or Latin American dance, which they will perform on the Strictly Come Dancing Ballroom floor in the final episode.

Their dances will be judged and scored by Head Judge Len Goodman, as well as Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and professional dancer, Anton Du Beke. The Judges’ scores will be for guidance only, and the public will have the deciding vote. The People’s Strictly Champion will be crowned on March 13th, as part of the live Comic Relief show on 麻豆官网首页入口 One, and the money raised will be spent helping to change the lives of poor, vulnerable and disadvantaged people in the UK and across Africa.

Episode Breakdown

The series will consist of four pre-recorded programmes.

The first two episodes will introduce the contestants as they receive the surprise that they have been chosen to be part of The People’s Strictly.

The third episode will continue to follow their training and preparation as they get ready for their ballroom debut in front of the nation.

The fourth episode will see all six contestants compete on the famous Strictly Come Dancing ballroom floor, as they vie for the Judges’ scores and viewers’ votes.

The winner of the public vote will be crowned The People’s Strictly Champion as part of the live Comic Relief show on 麻豆官网首页入口 One on Friday 13 March 2015.

The Studio Show

After weeks of training and preparation our new Strictly stars and their professional dance partners will perform for the nation in the famous Strictly Come Dancing Ballroom.

Hosted by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman our couples will compete against each other in a bid to win the first ever People’s Strictly for Comic Relief Glitterball Trophy.

Once the show begins, a short recap VT will outline our stars’ fascinating journeys and their progress over the last few weeks of dance training. They will then take to the dancefloor performing either a Latin or Ballroom routine.

Following their performances, the Judges (Anton du Beke, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman) will comment on and then score their routines.
The Judges’ scores will be for guidance only and the public will have the deciding vote.

Voting lines will open once all couples have danced and the winner of the public vote will then be crowned The People’s Strictly Champion as part of the live Red Nose Day night on 麻豆官网首页入口 One on Friday 13 March.
