PRIVACY NOTICE
Your trust is very important to us. This means the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal data. It is important that you read this notice so that you are aware of how and why we are using such personal data. This privacy notice describes how we collect and use personal data about you during and after your relationship with us, in accordance with data protection law.
Why are we doing this and how can you participate?
The Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú is giving you the chance to win free tickets to Reading or Leeds Festival 2022. You have a chance to win up to two (2) weekend tickets for you and a friend. If tickets are not won, tickets may roll over to the next day of the competition period. The presenters will then update the audience with on-air messages about how many tickets are now up for grabs.
You’ll have multiple chances to win with the competition, running between Tuesday 16th and Friday 19th August on Radio 1 Breakfast.
You can enter by calling the phone number 03700 100 100. Callers will be required to state a password, which will have been announced in the 'cue to call’, which will only be audible on the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Sounds stream of Radio 1, rather than the FM/DAB streams.
Callers will try to convince the Radio 1 phone handlers why they should be coming to Reading & Leeds event by answering these questions:
- “Who are you most excited to see at Reading & Leeds and why?”
- “Who would you like to take with you, and why should it be you guys?”
The best answers will be ranked, with the highest ranking selected to take part. A successful contestant will then be brought on-air to play a music quiz to win their tickets.
If we broadcast your contribution on-air, this may include the programme being available online and/or on demand, and your contribution may be used again in a future broadcast.
We may use your contribution for promotional purposes on the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú’s social media sites.
The winners may be invited to take part in pre and post-competition publicity, such as sharing your experience at Radio 1's Big Weekend on-air with our audiences.
