Greg Hartman

Greg has spent his entire career working in the remote wilderness and is the head cinematographer for the Natural History Film Unit Botswana (NHFU). He gained an appreciation for the natural world growing up on his family’s farm in Zimbabwe and went on to study zoology and become a wildlife safari guide. His fieldcraft skills and understanding of animal behaviour make him an expert wildlife tracker. His previous credits include Surviving Paradise (Netflix) and Living with Leopards (Netflix).

“My best memory from the series was seeing some of the Xudum pride using water as cover to hunt at night - something I had never even heard of before. And to see it with the thermal camera was nuts. I hope a big take away from the series is that the majesty of nature is still found in special places like the Okavango but we have to work to keep these wild places wild. It’s something we cannot afford to lose.”
