Libby Potter examines bank penalty charges. Banks repaid claimants 400 million pounds in the first six months of 2007 alone.

Tens of thousands of customers have claimed and banks have paid back around 400 million pounds in the first six months of this year alone. At the same time, they insist that their charges are perfectly legal. Libby Potter investigates the consequences on the banks, the courts and the claimants.
