How do we deal with the vast amounts of rubbish we produce? Gary Robertson takes your calls.

How do we deal with the vast amounts of rubbish we produce?

The Scottish Government is to announce a new national waste strategy today. But how can they achieve the 'zero waste' policy they're committed too? The emphasis is likely to shift from land-fill to incinerators which would create energy from burning rubbish. Do you live near one of Scotland's two existing incinerators in Shetland or Dundee? Perhaps you live near Abernethy where a new one is being planned? And do we need to take recycling a lot more seriously to reduce the amounts of rubbish we produce?

Gary Robertson takes your calls, texts and emails.
