MPs have voted to curb their pay, but they're keeping the allowances they get for furnishing their homes. A review by the Commons Members Estimate Committee had recommended the additional costs allowance (ACA) be replaced and an end to the so-called "John Lewis list" - the use of public money to pay for items like new kitchens and household goods such as TVs.
