Rob Bonnet talks to Olympic long jump champion Bob Beamon, who experienced perhaps the most famous six seconds in the history of the games. That's the amount of time it took him to run and launch more than 8.90 metres, or just over 29 feet, through the air at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics.

Beamon's jump was so long that it took half an hour for a tape measure to be found that could measure it. It remains the Olympic record, and will no doubt be in the minds of long jump competitors in Beijing.
