Jim investigates fungus, both good and bad. The bad fungus has killed the asparagus, while the good fungus has helped the roots of some of hedges.

Carole and Jim also continue their mini propagation series and dealing with 'semi-ripe' cuttings and they also take a look to see if the cuttings they took last month have rooted.

Carolyn re-visits the children at Newton Primary School in Dunblane, to see how vegetable and fruit she helped plant has fared.

Carole also visits Brain MacPherson at Stewarton, Renfrewshire in his complex and stunning 2.5 acre garden. In addition to the main formal garden there are ten rooms, none of which you can see from the centre. All of them are full of mature herbaceous plants, but there are also dark woodland sections.
