Democratic Senator Barack Obama has been elected the first black president of the United States. The euphoric reaction to his victory has been just as palpable in the UK as it has been in the US. But he'll be leading the most powerful country in the world at an extraordinary difficult time, with serious decisions to be made on the economy, Iraq and Afghanistan, global warming and healthcare.
