A murderer is being bussed daily from Shotts prison to Edinburgh to study for an economics degree. Meanwhile, Scottish Opera is to perform in prisons to help inmates' self-confidence at a cost of 拢300,000 to the taxpayer. An unfair reward, or the best way to rehabilitate offenders?

The Fund takes 14 pence of every pound spent on a Lottery ticket. With a remit covering health, education, environment and charitable purposes, they're focussed on "bringing improvements to communities and the lives of people most in need".
