The proportion of babies born to unmarried parents in Scotland has risen above 50% for the first time since records began. The latest figures from the Registrar General also show that marriage is at its lowest level since the 19th century. And all this appears to have happened since the 1980s. What caused it? And should we be concerned?

According to researchers, heavy internet use is replacing thinking. Professor David Nicholas from University College London says people are rendered unable to concentrate and learn properly because of internet use.
