Episode 5
Stories from the world's biggest ape rescue centre. The team release 25 rescued orangutans, and the youngest orangutans are in danger when malaria hits the clinic.
Steve Leonard and Michaela Strachan introduce more stories from the world's biggest ape rescue centre - home to over 600 orphaned and homeless orangutans.
After months of planning, the massive and emotional task of releasing more rescued orangutans is finally underway. Boats, planes and helicopters are standing by to take Mama Pika, her baby and 23 other rescued orangutans deep into the wild heart of Borneo where they can start life afresh.
Back at the centre, the youngest orangutans are in danger when malaria hits the clinic and fugitive Bento refuses to come quietly after escaping from the islands and threatening a local village.
