The Organist Entertains celebrates the 40th anniversary of the programme with the broadcast of a special concert recorded at Blackpool's Tower Ballroom.

The Organist Entertains marks four decades of organ music from around the world with a special concert recorded last month at the legendary Blackpool Tower Ballroom.

The concert features performances from presenter Nigel Ogden and Phil Kelsall, Blackpool Tower's resident organist. There are also the contrasting sounds of the Howard Beaumont Trio, with Howard at the keys of the Hammond B3 organ in its first major public appearance in the UK.

The Organist Entertains has been running as a regular weekly programme on 麻豆官网首页入口 Radio 2 since 1969 with Nigel Ogden as the regular presenter since 1980, following the retirement of the programme's founder and first host, Robin Richmond.
