Roger Norrington conducts the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment in a performance of Haydn's The Return of Tobias. A smash hit when it was first performed in 1775, this Old Testament narrative of Tobias and his adventures includes entanglements with a sea monster and with the demon of lust, who has abducted and killed all seven bridegrooms whom his new wife, Sara, had previously married.
