Jonathan Nott conducts one of the world's top youth orchestras, the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, in Richard Strauss' Also sprach Zarathustra, a work inspired by the philosophical writings of Friedrich Nietzsche, and famously, used by Stanley Kubrick to accompany images of space in his film 2001: A Space Odyssey.
