The women's luge competition reaches its conclusion. Germany have dominated the event and won all three medals at the 2006 Winter Olympics so it will be a big surprise if one of their team does not clinch gold. But American Erin Hamlin caused an upset to win the world championships in Lake Placid last year and is aiming to become the first American slider to win an Olympic singles luge medal.
