Clare Teal celebrates the centenary of clarinettist and bandleader Artie Shaw with a host of memorable recordings from the 1930's to the 1950's.

Clare Teal celebrates the centenary of the "King of the Clarinet" Artie Shaw and features many of his most celebrated recordings including Begin the Beguine, Frenesi and Stardust. Featuring collaborations with Tony Pastor, Helen Forrest, Buddy Rich, Roy Eldridge, Orin "Hot Lips" Page and Mel Torme.
Artie Shaw died on 30th December 2004 at the age of 94 after having turned his back on music 50 years earlier. However, the passing years have done little to diminish interest in the recordings and eventful life of this often controversial figure.
