Jeffrey Deaver, the international best-selling author of 26 novels and two collections of short stories, has been selected to write a new James Bond novel. His latest is The Burning Wire, the new instalment in the Lincoln Rhyme series.

Wild Beasts are among the shortlisted nominees for this year's Mercury Prize album of the year, for their second album Two Dancers. The indie rock band from Cumbria tell Colin what it means to be nominated.
