His back catalogue includes JFK, Wall Street, Nixon, Platoon and Born on the Fourth of July. His latest is South of the Border, a documentary about South American leaders. He tells Mark about his encounters with Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez among others, argues that the American media want to keep citizens ignorant - and responds to criticisms that he's unpatriotic.
