Jake Humphrey is joined by expert pundits David Coulthard and Eddie Jordan for coverage of the German Grand Prix at the Hockenheimring. The 67-lap race marks the midpoint of a season which has been exciting and unpredictable, with the new points scoring system encouraging an open drivers’ championship.
McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton was the latest winner on this circuit, in 2008, after starting on pole position, but home favourite Michael Schumacher is the only driver to win more than once at Hockenheim since 1997. Mercedes driver Schumacher would dearly love a fifth German Grand Prix victory to kick-start what has been a disappointing comeback season, but Red Bull, McLaren and Ferrari have been the frontrunners so far.
Commentary from Jonathan Legard and Martin Brundle.
