Theresa's plans to assimilate herself into Scarlett's life backfire. Her machinations jeopardise not only her relationship with Bob but also his future freedom.

Theresa is sad and angry to be left out of the Mullen family's plan to go on holiday. As the happy group plan for their future she feels increasingly isolated in a community unwilling to see beyond her criminal past. Bob seeds the idea in Theresa's mind that she ought to get a proper job. Theresa asks Iona for a job, but when she says no, Theresa is embarrassed and flees. Theresa tells Molly she's envious of Scarlett's lot in life - they came from the same place so how come Scarlett has it all now? Molly reckons Theresa could have it all too if she tried. Theresa agrees - but she's not going to work for it, she's just going to take it.

Theresa blackmails Scarlett and Jimmy into storing stolen TVs for her, then she sneakily shops them to the police. The Mullens are led away by the police as a devastated Bob and Madonna look on. Theresa assures Scarlett she'll look after the kids in Scarlett's absence. Scarlett is fearful. Theresa also tries to step into Scarlett's shoes at the pub and a shorthanded Raymond is forced to let her work Scarlett's shifts. But it doesn't last long as Theresa soon realises she doesn't have the temperament for it. Despite her best attempts, Madonna and Bob won't be cheered and it soon becomes clear that they adore Scarlett and Jimmy - Theresa can't just step into their shoes. Bob decides he can't let his parents go to jail - he'll tell the police he stole the TVs.

Theresa realises Bob is heading down the same path she has been on and can't let that happen. She goes to the police determined to tell the truth and get the Mullens off the hook even if it means she will go back to jail. Molly spots the opportunity to do a decent act of mothering for the first time in her life. She fakes some receipts and steps in before Theresa confesses all. Scarlett and Jimmy are let off without charge but Scarlett has been traumatised. She realises this will never end while Theresa has a hold on them - she's going to have to tell Bob the truth. But when Theresa realises that Bob would probably turn his back on her as well as Scarlett if the truth gets outs, she panics and begs Scarlett not to tell. She'll leave them be. Theresa is left shaken at the depth of her feelings for Bob - she only realised how much she cared when she feared she was going to lose him for good.

Jack arrives at work looking unkempt and Robbie gossips about who he could have been with last night. Hayley is uncomfortable with the idea that Jack's been on the pull. Hayley confronts Jack about their kiss but he dismisses it as a mistake. Hayley is hurt, but Jack is only pretending not to care. Later when Jack's deaf son, Jonathan, and a woman come into the salon Robbie presumes it's his ex and Hayley fights jealous feelings. Gordon reveals that the woman is actually Jack's ex's sister. Jack's ex is in hospital so he has to babysit Jonathan. Hayley discovers that Jack wasn't with another woman last night at all but looking after Jonathan. Jack is busy at work and Jonathan is getting bored. Hayley offers to take him back to hers to entertain him. Jack is reluctant but has no choice but to take her up on her offer.

Jack is concerned about how 'immature' Hayley will cope with a young child. But he has no reason to worry - Hayley and Jonathan get on well. Jack is impressed - maybe there's more to her than he suspected. Hayley realises Jack has been trying to put her off him as he fears he's no good for her - he's always messed up his relationships and knows his reputation is bad. Hayley doesn't care about that - she'd like to discover more. Jack stands strong - he can't. But when Jonathan sings Hayley's praises, Jack relents. He warns her he might screw this up - but they decide to give it a go anyway. Hayley and Jack finally get it on.

Big Bob finds a sheet of paper which reveals they have the chance of running a radio station at the community centre. However the deadline for ideas is that day. Scott is at a loose end in life and decides to get involved. Stella, also sick of being treated like a bit of a waste of space and being defined by her homelessness, decides the radio station is exactly the kind of thing she can get her teeth into - and maybe help others in the same position as she was once in. It soon becomes clear that the three of them have very different ideas about what the radio station should consist of and it descends into disorganisation and disagreement. Scott dismisses Stella's ideas and enthusiasm initially. Charlie tells Scott that this means a lot to Stella and she's also got some great ideas, whereas Scott is a great manager but his ideas are a bit out of touch with the youth of today. They realise they are going to have to work together to achieve their proposal by the end of the day. Scott reveals their proposal was successful - they're going to run the radio station together.
