Bob and Scarlett finally make up, but then Scarlett receives some bad news. Gina enjoys herself while Murray is away. Scott discovers the mystery behind Robbie's secret boyfriend.

Deek talks some sense into Bob telling him that he has to resolve things with Scarlett while he still has the chance. Bob visits Scarlett and they make up. Scarlett is happy but suggests that the rest of the family might not be ready to accept things going back to the way they were. Jimmy spies Bob and can't help giving him a piece of his mind but Bob wrong-foots him by agreeing. Bob tells Jimmy that he and Scarlett have made up but that they still have to sort out the rest of the family. Jimmy, Big Bob and Bob plan how to bring the family together without a war breaking out. They are each dispatched to cajole a family member into agreeing to attend - Big Bob is assigned Theresa. Initially she refuses but Bob gives her an ultimatum and she finally agrees. Bob also charms Molly into agreeing and Jimmy smoothes over Scarlett. It's on. But then Scarlett bumps into Michael who is keen that she gets her blood test results. The importance of having another baby fading, Scarlett tells him she doesn't care whether she is going through the change and is happy to leave things to fate. Michael insists she comes for the results and Scarlett is suddenly scared. Michael tells Scarlett it isn't the menopause - it might be cancer.

The Mullen/O'Hara family get together is awkward at first but soon warms up. Scarlett however is drinking heavily and starting to put up barriers. Talk of the aunt and granny she lost to cancer further fuel Scarlett's fears. Bob's declaration of his love for her and how much he needs her upsets her - what if she isn't around for him in the future? Scarlett angrily rejects everyone with some harsh home truths and orders them out of her house. Everyone is hurt and confused, but none more so than Bob.

With Murray off on the hills, Gina enjoys a day of pampering topped off with a guilt-free drink in The Tall Ship. Gina joins Jack and they enjoy a few drinks together. Tipsy, Jack walks Gina home and they kiss. Immediately horrified, Gina pulls away - they should know better.

Michael is shocked that Conor forged his signature to sign up to the cadets whereas Leo is encouraging about Conor's army aspirations. For Michael and Leyla's sake he later advises Conor not to blindly follow him and instead choose his own path. Privately, however, Leo encourages Conor and symbolically gives him a shell casing to look after, strengthening the bond between them.

Leo and Malcolm attend the Remembrance Day service in Glasgow and later Leo steals a cheeky kiss from Hayley before his departure. Amber finds old medals from a young soldier and respectfully looks after them, Scott discovers the truth about Robbie's 'boyfriend' Grayson and Liz drums up support for the children's nativity.
