Libya Intervention Debate

Does Libya need military intervention? Stephen Sackur is joined from Benghazi by Ahmed Jibril, from Washington by Harlan Ullman, and in the studio by Sir Jeremy Greenstock.

If international condemnation alone could dislodge Muammar Gaddafi from power in Tripoli he would have gone weeks ago. But it can't - nor, it seems, can targeted sanctions. So is it time for military intervention, starting with a no fly zone?

HARDtalk's Stephen Sackur is joined from Benghazi by Libyan diplomat turned adviser to the opposition, Ahmed Jibril, from Washington by Harlan Ullman, retired naval commander and veteran Pentagon adviser, and in the studio by Sir Jeremy Greenstock, Britain's former UN ambassador.

As the body count in Libya rises, do the country's rebels need international military back-up?
