In Dublin suburbs like Ballymun there are around 3,000 horses, ponies and donkeys, which are a real treasure for their little cowboy owners.

Approximately 3,500 wandering horses live in Dublin. Only 500 of them are used for diverse works. However, in suburbs such as Ballymun there are 3,000 horses, ponies and donkeys, and for the children who own them, they are a real treasure, kept jealously in poor stables. While waiting for the big day of the race, the little cowboys of Dublin find in their animal a beautiful reason for living, whereas people only try to survive there.
