The Spirit of Schubert continues in Afternoon on 3 with a Live concert from the 麻豆官网首页入口 Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Andrew Manze, featuring a completed version of Schubert's "unfinished" 8th Symphony. There's also the complete incidental music to "Rosamunde" with the 麻豆官网首页入口 Philharmonic. In between, we visit Tom Service to see what has been growing in the petri-dishes of the Schubert Lab. The programme ends with a recent 麻豆官网首页入口 Philharmonic recording of Schubert's music for the play Rosamunde, complete with the original overture played at the first performance.
